Two structures of cylindrical roller bearing solid cage

The materials used for solid metal cages are mainly brass and bronze alloys, as well as cast iron and steel. There are two main types of structures: split and integral. The difference in split structure is mostly in the connection method; the difference in integral structure is reflected in The improvement of bearing friction, running and load bearing performance. Since the split cage needs to be assembled as a whole to realize its functions, the split is mainly due to the convenience of the process, and the split connection still has the problem of unreliability. Therefore, with the advancement of process technology, the application of the integral cage will increase. more.

One: Split cage  

  1: Split pillar riveting cage 

   Split pillar riveting cage is composed of semi-cage, baffle and rivets, generally using roller guide, as shown in the figure above. The semi-cage and baffle are generally made of copper, and the rivets are generally made of mild steel. Cylindrical roller bearings with cages of this structure are commonly used, and have the advantages of low friction, low temperature rise, low noise, high strength, and easy processing, and are suitable for high-speed and heavy-duty working conditions. The disadvantage is that the existence of rivet holes weakens the strength of the cage, and improper riveting will cause looseness. 

  2: Split type self-riveting cage 

  Separate self-riveting cage is composed of a semi-cage and a baffle. The semi-cage beam has a riveting joint at the end and a riveting hole on the baffle, which can realize self-riveting without rivets, as shown in the figure above. The structure of the cage is similar to the split column riveting cage, and the technical principles and application characteristics are basically the same. The difference lies in the connection mode of the split cage.

   3: Pillar type cage

  The pillar-type cage of cylindrical roller bearing is connected by pillars to connect the cages together, as shown in the figure above. One end of the pillar is threaded, one end is screwed on a cage retaining ring, passing through the hollow roller, and the other end is welded to another cage retaining ring. Sometimes, in heavy-duty applications, both ends of the pillar need to be welded. When the cage is a pillar design, the number of rollers that can be accommodated is larger, and the carrying capacity is higher at this time. It is generally used for large bearings, such as rolling mill bearings.

Two: overall cage 

  1: Integral straight window hole cage 

  The structure of the integral straight window hole cage is shown in the figure above. The cage generally adopts outer ring guidance or inner ring guidance, and the straight window holes have locking points to lock the rollers. Compared with the split cage, the integral cage has higher strength and more reliable work, but the processing is relatively difficult, and the window holes generally need to be broached.  

  2. Integral circular arc corner window hole cage  

  The structure of the integral circular arc corner window hole cage is shown in the above figure. Because the inner surface of the lintel is circular arc surface, it is convenient for the roller to guide and lubricate, but it increases the processing difficulty. This structure can mainly avoid the interference between the corner of the pocket lintel and the roller, reduce the stress concentration at the corner, and facilitate lubrication.  

  3. Double and four-row cylindrical roller bearing comb cage 

The more commonly used cages for double and four-row cylindrical roller bearings are single-jaw comb-shaped cage and double-jaw comb-shaped cage. The double-jaw comb-shaped cage can be loaded with two rows of rollers, which are arranged alternately between the two rows. ; Single-jaw comb-shaped cage requires two combinations, which is equivalent to a radial cut of a double-jaw cage. Small and medium precision double row cylindrical roller bearings generally use single-jaw cages; double-jaw cages are generally used for medium and large bearings.
